The company is owned and operated by Warren Way. Being situated so close to the North Tip of Queensland, the back drop of 4WD country, Warren a 4WD enthusiast, understands the importance when using the best equipment for your 4WD and getting the most out of them. With the drive and commitment for our customers, Gryphon Engineering Cairns has built a reputation for quality workmanship and providing a professional service.
The workshop expansion now houses a large two bay workshop incorporating three two post hoists, electrical work area, with room for six vehicles. We supply and install brand new Chevrolet 6500 Optimizer and LS V8 Petrol engines. We install these engines into the two most popular types of 4WD vehicles, the Toyota Landcruiser and Nissan Patrol. We provide Log Book Servicing for these engines. Our Customers travel from all over Australia, booking their V8 Diesel engines, ahead of time, for when holidaying in Far North Queensland. We are also able to provide replacement parts for Chevrolet Diesel engines.
Gryphon Engineering Cairns provide Log Book Services to all makes and models of vehicles. We supply and install a range of 4WD accessories ranging from rear draws, winches with isolator switches, air compressors, dual battery systems, engine management gauges, custom built intercoolers, turbo and exhaust systems, bull bars, snorkels, brakes, heavy duty suspension kits, steering and LED lights.
Our 4WD services include general/book servicing, supply and fitment of parts and accessories, real 4x4 maintenance. We can supply and fit Turbo and intercooler kits, custom suspension, barwork, dual battery systems. We don’t fit cheap gear, we start from mild to wild but still focus on keeping your build within the state rules and regulations working in with Livingstone Automotive to do so. Need more grunt and towing power? then you've come to the right place. Gryphon Engineering is an East coast representative for Brunswick Diesel who can supply 6.5 Chevy engine conversions to deliver awesome torque and towing power as a complete kit for your 4x4.
We can install a few different engines. We mostly do conversions on the two most popular types of 4WD vehicles, the Toyota Landcruiser and Nissan Patrol.
